 Details
Founded in 1552, Shrewsbury School remains one of the great scholarly foundations of England. Set in the beautiful country of Shropshire, in over a hundred acres of grounds by the River Severn and overlooking the ancient town, Shrewsbury is a community of over 740 pupils aged between 13-18. Famous former pupils include Lord Hestletine, Michale Palin and Lord Rees, Astronomer Royal. In line with the work of its most famous old boy, Charles Darwin - the school has continued to evolve in an innovative and dynamic way based on foundations of traditional values. The successful introduction of a co-educational sixth form in 2008, has prepared the way for a new period of expansion and achievement with the school to go fully co-educational in 2014.
Life at Shrewsbury is founded on close partnerships between staff, parents and pupils; promoting the strength of family life, fostering responsibilities, and balancing the claims of developing individuality with the needs of a vibrant community.

Shrewsbury School student, Tony Tang.
I came from Shenzhen after i finished my senior 2. The life and study at Shrewsbury is great fun. People are friendly and I settled in really easily. The teaching quality is brilliant and there are all kinds of facilities. After one year of study at Shrewsbury. I was offered a place at Cambridge and there are 3 other Chinese students who were offered Oxbridge places this year.
