A great break for parents and children who wish to learn more about British Boarding Schools whilst at the same time to improve/learn English whilst having an active holiday. These courses run throughout the summer holidays at the beautiful, safe, MoretonHallSchool. We also arrange for visits to other schools in the Consortium so that if you are thinking of sending your child to the UK this is the best way to learn about what our schools have to offer. There are 25 schools in our Consortium to choose from.
Moreton Hall school is set in 100 acres of parkland with its own golf course, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, sports pitches and idyllic country walks. The nearest train station is only 5 minutes away and the cities of Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester are all within an hour of the school.
Children:
5-12 Year olds attend 3-4 hours of formal English courses in the mornings with an emphasis on learning through fun activities. Classes are taught by qualified EFL teachers. Children do not need to know any English to take part.
In the afternoons the children join the Moreton Hall holiday club and join in with English children. The Holiday Club offers sports, art, swimming, craft and trips to place of interest.
Parents:
Meanwhile the accompanying parent(s) can attend adult English courses taught by EFL qualified teachers. Lessons run for 2 hours twice a week. (Extra courses available if wanted).
After lunch adults have their own activities planned which can include art, history of art, dance, talks, sport, horse-riding, golf, sailing. They also join the children on the trips to places of interest including visits to other Consortium Schools.
Evenings and Weekends:
Activities and entertainment are organised in the evenings and at weekends. There are no formal English lessons at weekends. Trips are organised to historic Chester, Shrewsbury, Manchester, Liverpool, Llangollen and to museums, castles and zoos.
